Tooling for repeat production

Производственные литьевые формы

Plan a production mold around the part you need, the demand you expect and the budget available. X-Molding provides a starting point for discussing practical tooling choices and a clearly defined supply scope.

Request a Mold Quote

Build the tooling brief around your part

Part and material

Provide the current design, intended resin and critical features. Identify visible surfaces and assembly requirements.

Production demand

Share expected order quantities and repeat demand so tooling investment and recurring part cost can be considered together.

Acceptance and handover

Define sampling, inspection evidence and delivery requirements. Include receiving-machine details if the mold will run elsewhere.

How to start

  1. 1. Define

Share the part revision, material and production brief.

  2. 2. Review

Agree the proposed tooling scope and design-review points.

  3. 3. Confirm

Set sample-acceptance and handover requirements before proceeding.

Frequently asked questions

Should the lowest tooling price decide the supplier?

Compare the included scope first. A price comparison is incomplete if the quotations assume different cavities, materials, trial work or handover requirements.

Can a simpler mold suit repeat production?

It depends on the part and production requirement. Discuss expected demand and the constraints that must be retained. Do not assume the most complex tool is necessary or that the simplest tool will meet every requirement.

Do I need to specify a cavity count?

Provide it if it is a fixed requirement. Otherwise, provide demand and production information so cavity options can be discussed as part of the quotation.
