Before you start
Часто задаваемые вопросы по проекту
Clear answers for tooling, molded parts and prototypes. Find the information to prepare an inquiry, define the tooling scope and agree how the finished work will be reviewed.

Project scope
Which service should I choose?
Start with the deliverable you need: production tooling, a smaller batch of molded parts or a prototype for design review. For transparent components, identify whether visual appearance or specified optical performance drives the requirement.
Can my inquiry include both tooling and molded parts?
Yes. State which deliverables you want considered and the quantities required. If the mold will be used at another facility, include the receiving machine and handover requirements available.
Is every clear part an optical part?
A transparent cover may be evaluated mainly by its appearance. An optical component also has defined light-control or optical performance requirements. Explain the intended function and how it will be checked.
Quotations and quantities
What should I include in an RFQ?
Include the current design revision, requested deliverables, intended material or application, initial quantity, expected repeat demand and acceptance requirements. Add the target schedule and delivery destination, and flag information that is still provisional.
What if the material or quantity is not final?
Share the intended application and the quantity range under consideration. Separate fixed requirements from open decisions so quotation assumptions can be reviewed clearly.
Is there a standard minimum order quantity?
Quantity needs to be reviewed with the part, material and tooling approach. Include the first-order quantity and likely repeat demand in your inquiry so the proposed scope can be considered for that project.
How should I compare tooling quotations?
Compare the scope and assumptions as well as the price. Check which tooling deliverables, samples, part quantities, inspection evidence, handover requirements and delivery terms are included.
How long will my project take?
Share the target dates and identify which milestones are important. The schedule needs to be confirmed against the design, proposed scope and review requirements; a target date in an inquiry is not a confirmed delivery commitment.
Design files and acceptance
Do I need finished drawings before making an inquiry?
You can explain the project with the information available. State the current design stage, which files exist and which decisions remain open. A confirmed quotation or project scope may require additional detail.
What should I specify for a visible or transparent part?
Identify visible surfaces, relevant viewing conditions, acceptable marks and any light-transmission requirements. If optical performance is required, include the optical design and measurement criteria.
What should a prototype demonstrate?
Describe the checks the sample needs to support, such as fit, assembly or a particular design review. State any required material or performance conditions so the proposed process can be considered against that purpose.
How should I send confidential drawings?
Before sending restricted files, explain any confidentiality or file-sharing requirements. Confirm the sharing arrangement first. Do not assume that a general website inquiry establishes an NDA or a secure upload process.
Materials and tooling specification
Should an RFQ name a specific resin grade?
A grade name is more useful than a resin family alone. Include the supplier, grade, color and any permitted substitutions. When the choice is open, explain the temperature, нагрузка, chemical exposure and appearance requirements so candidate grades can be evaluated.
Can I specify mold steel and component brands?
State any required steel supplier and grade, heat-treatment condition, component standard, preferred brand and part number. Identify which items are mandatory and whether equivalents may be proposed. A brand name alone does not define the full specification or confirm interchangeability.
How should I compare hot-runner options?
Compare the proposed gate type, resin suitability, number and location of drops, temperature-control requirements, access for maintenance and spare-parts support. Ask how the selection affects the gate mark, color changes and production plan. Record the actual system and interface requirements in the tooling scope.
What information is needed if the mold will run elsewhere?
Provide the receiving machine information available, including mounting, mold-height limits, nozzle interface, ejector arrangement and required services. Agree which drawings, component lists, spare parts and trial records are needed for the handover.
Samples, approval and design changes
How should sample approval be defined?
Identify the current design revision, material and appearance requirements, critical dimensions and functional checks. Agree which samples and records will be reviewed, who approves them and which open items must be resolved before the next project stage.
What happens when the design changes after quotation?
Issue the revised files with a clear change description. Request a review of the effect on tooling, литьевые детали, inspection and timing before treating the existing quotation or schedule as applicable to the new revision.
Which inspection documents should I request?
Start from the evidence your project needs: for example, measurements of identified critical features, material documentation or agreed functional checks. Specify the format, sample basis and acceptance criteria. The required reporting scope should be agreed for the project.
