Define what the customer will see
Klar & Transparente Formen
Transparent covers, viewing windows and other visible plastic components need clear appearance requirements. Start your tooling inquiry with the visible areas, intended material, permitted marks and conditions in which the part will be viewed.

Turn appearance into a reviewable specification
Visible surfaces
Mark the areas the end user will see. Identify permitted gate, parting-line and ejection locations where specified.
Material and use
Provide the approved resin grade or describe the use environment. Include transmission, haze or color requirements if they apply.
Appearance acceptance
Define viewing conditions and suitable reference samples where needed. A photograph alone does not establish a finish specification.
How to start
- 1. Identify
Map visible surfaces, assembly interfaces and material requirements.
- 2. Review
Discuss tooling marks, finish and the requested supply scope.
- 3. Evaluate
Agree how sample appearance and fit will be assessed.
Frequently asked questions
Can every transparent part be treated as an optical component?
No. Optical requirements must be defined where the part controls light or contributes to an optical system. A clear appearance alone does not establish optical performance.
What should I send with a clear-part inquiry?
Send the drawing or model, material, quantity and appearance specification. Mark visible areas and permitted tooling marks. Include optical requirements if they apply.
Will a photograph define the required finish?
A photograph can help explain the intended appearance, but it should be supported by agreed acceptance criteria or a suitable physical reference where needed. Lighting and camera settings can change what a photograph shows.
